Youth Recreational League

Registration for the 2011-2012 season will begin on July 20, 2011, and end on August 19, 2011. Registration forms will be made available online and at the Starkville Sportsplex located at 405 Lynn Lane. General Information:

Children 4 and up on August 1st of the new Fall season are eligible to play.
Age divisions are U6, U8, U10, U12, U14*, and U16* both boys and girls. *The older divisions usually have travel play since there are only one or two teams formed.
The recreational soccer season typically begins in September and ends early November.
The 2011 -2012 registration fee for recreational play ranges from $55 to $85, which included uniform and soccer ball. The fee covered both Spring and Fall seasons. No discounts for playing only Fall or Spring season. Parents may request that their child play up to a higher age division.
U6 and U8 teams are formed by a random age balance draft. U10 and older teams are formed (in attempt) to create age and skill balance.
Copy of birth certificate is required for all players that did not play for Starkville Soccer Association the previous year.
After the deadline to register has closed, the Registrar will place interested players on a wait list provided they submit all registration documentation. An additional processing fee will be added if the waitlisted player is added to a team.
Players U8 and older who are interested in more competitive soccer may enjoy Division II soccer, which is also known as Challenge or Developmental soccer. Additional costs for uniforms, tournament fees, travel, etc. will apply.
